The Strange life of Anna Prince
Anna's grandfather Doctor George Prince has died and the Prince family fell on hard times. Anna's father young Ulysses Prince craves adventure. He teaches himself to preach. He begins the dangerous practice of religious snake handling! Anna becomes terrified when she sees her Dad handle a live rattlesnake. And worse, when he stores his box of live snakes under her bed that night. She becomes a street singer to draw a crowd for her preacher father to preach to. The family travels much of the Southeastern Untied States.
The story is dangerous, funny and outrageous. It turns wild, exciting when wild mountain lions, called panthers threaten the family while they are living in a tent. It has a tender romantic story intertwined. Anna grows up and works her way through broadcasting school to become a radio and television producer. She sings and writes country music. She also became a country music composer for the Grand Ole Opry legends and BMI. Her first three songs make number one hits internationally on RCA for Grand Ole Opry legend Hank Locklin, a big star in Europe. The story continues with a tender romance.
Born in Isabella, Tennessee, in Polk County, near Chattanooga, ANNA PRINCE was a street singer as a child. Anna's music and song writing eventually led her to become a professional song writer for Hank Locklin, a Grand Ole’ Opry legend, who recorded her songs on RCA; the latest was recorded in 2000. Three of the songs became international number-one hits in Europe and New Zealand. Nashville eventually became home to Anna where she produced and hosted a daily television program at CATV Nashville from 1997 to 2003 called Real Heroes of Country Music. There she interviewed and often sang with her guests, who were legends of country music including Charlie Pride, Freddie Fender, the Bellamy Brothers, Kitty Wells, Vern Gosdin, Charlie Louvin, Marie Osmond, B. J. Thomas and dozens more. Prince now lives happily on a mountaintop near Murphy, North Carolina, with her husband, Eddie Joe McCurry.
