LABEL CHIEFS BORED WITH COUNTRY
a recent story ran in the Tennessean, Nashville's newspaper that stated.
Even label chiefs don't listen country, one says. The story told of two of Music Row's most prominent label executives, one of whom says he should share the blame.

"For me, in Nashville our music is totally boring and I'm partly responsible" Tony Brown, president of MCA Nashville, said during a panel discussion at a Texas music festival. The article went on to say, " if you were to poll label heads on Music Row, the ones who didn't lie to you would tell you they don't listen to country radio."

FREDDIE FENDER SICK
Freddie Fender, former guest of our own Real Heroes of Country Music Television Show with host Anna Prince, is fighting now for his life, someone close to him told Prince recently.. Freddie is still a champion entertainer and fighter
who loves to perform. The close source told us that Freddie left the hospital after being very ill to perform a concert a state away. We send our love and prayers to Freddie.

FAN FAIR CELEBRATES THIRTY YEARS
Fan Fair has come to be known as the biggest gathering of country music legends, world wide, where the fans come to see the stars up close. At the old Nashville fair grounds it was common to see fans standing four deep for a city block, waiting for an autograph of their favorite country celebrity.
Now celebrating thirty years of Fan Fair we remember some of our favorite legends who were a familiar sight in years gone by.

We pause a moment to remember some
favorites and when they performed at Fan Fair:

  • 1995 TAMMY WYNETTE and GEORGE JONES
  • 1997 MERLE HAGGARD
  • 1998 DOLLY PARTON
  • 1994 CHARLIE DANIELS with WILLIE NELSON, and
  • 1999 CHARLIE PRIDE, when Anna Prince had the good fortune to interview him on Real Heroes of Country Music.

Anna Prince will once again be interviewing the country music major stars at Fan Fair in Nashville this year. The event will take place downtown with opening ceremonies kickoff at the Adelphia Coliseum. The dates are June 14 through June 17. The taped interviews by Prince will air on cable channel 19 in Nashville where Real Heroes of Country Music airs six times weekly.

Some of the Fan Fair performers will be a SONY SHOWCASE, June 14, with BILLY RAY CYRUS, PATTY LOVELESS, TRAVIS TRITT AND COLIN RAY.

RCA, Mercury, Dreamworks, Arista. Curb and others will present VINCE GILL, TERRI CLARK, BRAD PAISLEY, TRACY BYRD AND MANY MORE!

LORRIE MORGAN & SAMMY KERSHAW TIE THE KNOT
The newlyweds Morgan and Kershaw will be performing as a team at this years Fan Fair. Yes, on Sunday, June 17th, Lorrie Morgan and Sammy Kershaw will perform together on the same show. Here's wishing them much love and happiness.
