LABEL CHIEFS BORED WITH COUNTRY
a recent story ran in the Tennessean, Nashville's newspaper that
stated. Even label chiefs don't listen
country, one says. The story told of two of Music Row's most prominent
label executives, one of whom says he should share the blame.
"For me, in Nashville our music is totally
boring and I'm partly responsible" Tony Brown, president
of MCA Nashville, said during a panel discussion at a Texas music
festival. The article went on to say, " if you were to poll
label heads on Music Row, the ones who didn't lie to you would tell
you they don't listen to country radio."

Fan Fair has come to be known as the biggest gathering of country
music legends, world wide, where the fans come to see the stars

fans standing four deep for a city block, waiting for an autograph
of their favorite country celebrity.
Now celebrating thirty years of Fan Fair we remember some of our
